Shafiq Ahmed joined The Dawood Group in 2007 and has since held a number of senior leadership roles across the Group's diverse portfolio. These have included serving as Chief Executive Officer of Dawood Lawrencepur Limited and Tenaga Generasi Limited, and he currently leads the Group's private entities, Dawood Investment (Private) Limited and Dawood Corporation (Private) Limited, in the same capacity.
He sits on the Boards of Directors of Dawood Lawrencepur Limited, Tenaga Generasi Limited, Reon Alpha Limited, Dawood Investment (Private) Limited, Dawood Corporation (Private) Limited, and Inbox Business Technologies Limited. He also serves as Trustee of The Dawood Foundation and the Hajiani Hanfia Bai Memorial Trust, and heads the Group's Family Office in Pakistan.
Prior to joining the Dawood Group, Shafiq held senior management positions at Pakistan National Shipping Corporation and was associated with Ernst & Young (EY). His career, which spans over 25 years, reflects a deep engagement with the textiles, energy, and financial services sectors, having worked alongside some of the leading institutions and practitioners in each of these fields.
Shafiq is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, holds a degree in Law from the University of Karachi, and is a certified director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.
